How to share a printer on Windows®

Here you see how share your printer in the iOS Windows.

Every day we feel the need to use a printer on multiple computers, either because we are in a workgroup and only have one printer or for any other reason that may arise, it is a very simple process which we will need an average computer skills.

Below we propose the procedure for Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP. The configuration for Windows 8 is not yet published we are working on it.
1. How to get shared printers depends on what the operating system you're using, to know what operating system you are using, visit our post how to know which operating system I'm using. Only for Windows.

— If you have Windows 7 we click on Devices and Printers.

— If you use Windows Vista then click on Control Panel click Printer under the Hardware and Sound category.

— If you use Windows XP, click Start and then Printers and Faxes.

2. Procedures to implement and share the printer after identifying what operating system we used.

If you have Windows 7

Make a right click on the printer, when we identify and then click on printer properties then click on share, after click on sharing options.

Windows Vista

Make a right click on the printer icon and click on Sharing. Then click Change sharing options, and click Continue.

Windows XP

Make a right-click on printer icon and then click sharing.

• Click on share this printer or printer sharing then assigns a name to the shared printer to the printer name you cannot use spaces or semicolons.
