How to Refill 564 HP black, magenta, cyan, yellow cartridges in home.
These 564 HP ink cartridges are made for Officejet printers. Of these cartridge there are the four colors with the same number and, two types of cartridges. There are the normal cartridges rated for about 250 pages when new and about 200 pages when refilled.
The XL version cartridge rated for about 550 pages when new and about 400 pages when refilled.
The black in cartridge of this group is the only cartridge using pigmented ink.
The color ink cartridges use water based ink and dyes. These cartridges do not have a head attached to them because they work as tanks. It should be noted that they use a powerful ink head that processes the ink and capture it on the paper.

They are compatible with the following printers: HP d5460, ps pro68550, psc6380 y psc6760. The process to refill these cartridges is easy but it has do be done with patience and calm to get a similar quality of the time when they were new.

Step No. 1
The first thing that should always be done is to place the cartridge on an easy to clean surface or on a black fabric that gets not affecte by the colo of the ink. In case ink spilling on any other surface, try to clean it as son as posible.
Step No. 2
After locating where to put the ink cartridge so it will not spill and damage our clothes or a place that does not need to fall color ink, the next step is the bottom of our cartridge. To avoid that when refilling the cartridge spills ink, remember to supply the ink to the ink cartridge slowly. — The cartridge can even be covered with the plugs it brings at the beginning —
Step No. 3
Remember there are two types of cartridges, for the normal cartridge use a syringe of the corresponding ink color and provide it with 6ml of ink, for the XL version cartridge provide about 12ml. Remember to do this process as slow as possible. Do not use the same syringe.
Step No. 4
The cartridge is refilled by its vent hole. To be able to see the vent hole it is needed to remove the label on top of the cartridge. Remember that always that the label is removed, it should be placed again to avoid ink to get quickly dried.
Step No. 5
After placing the ink cartridges it is needed to print some test pages. To do so, it is necesary to go to the following links; there the quality of the cartridges can be verified. Color test page and Black color test page, just click on print at the top left...
Printers of this type have a small page counter chip at the bottom that is read by a sensor located where the cartridges are cleaned or where the ink cartridges are housed, is not really that the sensor indicates the amount ink in the cartridge but it has proportionally the chip is programmed to identify how many pages can be printed with the ink in the cartridge.
When the ink is reaching the limits of pages, a message will indicate that the cartridge is running or has run out of ink.

Normally when refilling this type of cartridges, the printes shows this error indicating the cartridges are empty. It can be eliminated by clicking on Accept. In case this does not eliminate the error, press the Reset button for about 10 to 15 seconds...
Another way to refill these cartridges is by using the hole the ink comes out. To do so, it is recomended to place the cartridge on a surface where ink spilling cannot make any damage and perfom a very slow refilling with a syringe. See the following image...
